The production of wind energy comes from exchanging energy from the wind into energy by utilizing a wind turbine. A home wind turbine is made up of 3 blades – they look a bit like propellers – this is called a rotor. The rotor is connected to a high tower-like structure. This structure looks basically like a very high pole. Generally wind towers are about 20 meters tall. They are made this tall because the wind is more powerful higher up. By using wind power, utilizing a home wind turbine, home owners will not only be saving the planet from excess greenhouse gases produced by standard energy production. They will also be able to save money on energy bills.
