National Greener Ireland Expo – Book Now
National Greener Ireland Expo will be open to the general public on Sat and Sun 18th and 20th April 2008, and to all parties interested in seeking out information on the various environmental services available to them and alternative methods to offset their carbon footprint. The idea behind the event is to show that even small changes can make a difference – and that, to make these changes in our everyday lives, is not only possible, will not only be good for our pockets – but can even be fun.
In a society that is becoming more and more environmentally aware and ‘green’ conscious, it is important for people and organisations to understand the benefits of change – energy efficiency, recycling, offsetting individual carbon footprints and making lifestyle changes.
At present, with policies being framed that will affect the way we live our lives – what we eat, how we heat our houses, how we travel, where we get our electricity – the information we need to achieve these changes must be readily available to everyone and National Greener Ireland Expo aims to do just that.
The exhibition will showcase -
ENERGY – The Obvious One! … What’s left and the alternatives
TOMORROWS WORLD – What the future holds – innovation, technology, building, lifestyle, etc.
FOOD – Our well-being and what changes we need to make to ensure our food is rich, safe and sustainable into the future
SERVICES – Local and National agencies and information providers on recycling and reusing our waste and how we cope into the future
INDEPENDENT GROUPS – Frontline groups who are active in the promotion of all things ‘green’
….AND LOTS MORE – fun and innovative ways to ensure that our interest in the environment is – and remains – a priority in our lives for the future.
