Pros and Cons of Wind Turbines

Power from wind is romantic, but is it feasible? The fact is that if you have wind and space it very well may be.

Imagine the ability to live off grid. To have a $0 energy bill each month. Or better yet to have so much “surplus” energy that you actually sell some back to the utility company for a profit. Frankly unless you have a ton of space available you probably won’t get rich off of the surplus but it might be nice to have a check coming your way for a change…

The cons of wind power are, that it is not always consistent. Power output is dependent on windspeed.

The pros are that wind power can be combined with solar for a power mix that can provide a sustainable solution. And power can be stored in batteries for the times when the wind isnt blowing.
